ASSEMBLY

Our service goes beyond production. At Hollarts, we can also assemble products and take care of packaging. Assembly can be fully automated as part of the production line, or done by hand, for example by specialised partners. The best method depends on the product and the number of products needed.

AUTOMATED ASSEMBLY FOR LARGE PRODUCTION RUNS

When we produce large numbers of products and the design allows it, we can fully automate the assembly process. Injection moulding machines and robots then work together as one production process. The product can be assembled directly at the injection moulding machine. The product is taken directly from the machine and assembled by a robot. With automated assembly, all parts need to fit together exactly. That is why we make sure that the design, mould and automation are all well matched before production starts.

Examples:

• Assembly of folding crates – The different parts are made in one mould and then automatically put together. A robot places the locking clips, clicks the parts together and puts the crates on a pallet.
• Assembly of flower buckets – These products consist of two parts. They come out of the machine and are immediately clicked together by a robot.

MANUAL ASSEMBLY WHEN NEEDED

Not all assembly work can be automated. Sometimes the numbers are too small, or the product is not suitable for assembly by a robot. In these cases, Hollarts works with an organisation that provides work opportunities for people who face barriers to employment. For this work, we use special assembly tables or tools. This makes sure that the parts are always assembled in the same way.

Example:

• The Clipper bicycle basket – This product has a spring mechanism with several small parts.

PACKAGING

We can also take care of the packaging. We make sure that the right parts are packed in the right box or packaging.

Example:

• Packaging of parasol bases for our partner Helcosol – The parasol bases are available in different versions. Each Helcosol customer may need a different box, instruction leaflet and barcode.
